Pressure cooker: Handling after use

Normal care

Remove the rubber gasket and wash

Remove the rubber gasket and wash the pot, the lid and the gasket with a mild dish detergent and a nylon scrubbing brush or sponge for long lasting use.
* Do not wash them in a dishwasher. Do not stretch the rubber gasket, or wash it with a metal scrub.
* Do not use bleach or chlorine-based detergent.

Wash the pot while it is still warm

Please wash it with a mild dish detergent with a nylon scrubbing brush or sponge. Do not leave the pot after using it, but soak it in water while it is still warm for easy cleaning. Dry it well before putting it away.

Discoloration from burned foods, white spots or stains

Put water in the pot and bring it to boil

Put water in the pot and bring it to a boil; then dump the water. This makes burned foods, spots and stains come off easily. Use Kleen King Liquid (exclusive to Vita Craft cookware) to clean the pot with a nylon scrub while it is still warm. Wash off the Kleen King Liquid with mild detergent.
* For stubborn burns, mix water with vinegar and bring to a boil.

Center valve, safety lock pin care

Wash it every 3 or 4 times of use

Wash it every 3 or 4 times of use for normal stains Disassemble center valve and safety lock pin to wash them. Please wash each time after cooking beans or when food pieces or remnants are sticking to the pot. Use a thin brush or chopsticks to clean the hole.
